Artist Statement

Personal Balance

„Paintings are like a Polaroid that is only just about to develop.”

To me, the world is full of symbols and meanings in which we settle, consciously or not. What interests me most is its unconscious part – the story that cannot be seen. I am interested in the genetic code in which everything is written – the very beginning of the universe. Our instincts, basic feelings, patterns of thought, deep experience without filters, naked like children, open to exposure.

All these fragments are pieces of feelings, information and emotions I have lived through. They overlap, because we often have no time to take care of ourselves; life pushes us on, and so new layers form, behind which we hide.

My compositions may seem like chaos, yet they hold perfectly suspended in space. Sometimes emotions are sharp as a razor, and some are as light as smooth stones you want to pull out of the water and throw ahead of you. Approaching them, you would like to rearrange something, as if they were on magnets – but you won't, because you cannot change the course of life with a single move of the hand. That takes a process.

Paintings are like a Polaroid that is only just about to develop. You wait to see the picture, and in it yourself today – and perhaps soon…

Review

“One of the strongest aspects of this portfolio is its clear stylistic coherence. The works demonstrate a recognizable visual language built around fragmentation, layering, and dynamic dispersion of forms… an artist who is developing a distinctive signature.

The layered construction of the compositions creates a striking sense of materiality and depth… transforming the surface of the canvas into a dynamic spatial field rather than a purely flat pictorial plane. The color palette is particularly well balanced.

The idea of the self composed of multiple hidden layers and fragments finds a convincing visual translation in the compositions. Some, like ‘Fly High’, convey an almost explosive movement, while others appear more contemplative and dispersed.

From a market perspective, the work shows strong potential for the contemporary art market.
